Every month, we try to recommend and highlight a book that we have available in our Resource Center. The purpose of the GCC Resource Center is to make materials available for continued growth in the grace and knowledge of Jesus Christ. We pray that these resources would ultimately be used to further God's glory and fame and increase our joy in Him!

Fear of man. It's an issue that, if we are honest with ourselves, we have all experienced at one time or another. Because of this we also know how immobilizing it can be - especially when it is running rampant in the church. Instead of looking horizontally for solutions that fail, Ed Welch shows the scriptural solution of seeing God for who He really is. Our problem is not that we need to have a higher view of our selves, but rather we need a higher view of God.
We've gotten it backwards when we have fear of man.
Dr. Welch is carefully biblical, but extrememly practical in his approach to this tender subject. You do not need to have "co-dependency issues" to benefit from this great work. Anyone with a desire to fear God more and love others more will find this read refreshing and insightful. Read this and grow. Or, read this and help others grow!
