Alison Yuille, Laurynn Phillips, Paula Satterfield, Ginger Elliff, Sonja Mausser, Kendra Fox, Karen Phillips
Grace Preschool, LLC has two directors, Rick Stone and Kendra Fox. Rick is the Administrator and Missions Director at GCC and also provides oversight of the preschool program. For more information on Rick, please go to the GCC staff profiles here.
Kendra Fox runs the daily affairs of the preschool. She is a native Texan whose roots began just a few miles from Glen Rose in the town of Granbury. In 2002 Kendra received a bachelor's degree in Art History at the University of Maine. It was there that she met her husband, Kevin Fox, and began a family. After they finished school the couple moved from Old Town, Maine to Austin, Texas. Kendra stayed at home and worked part-time as a substitute teacher for Grades K-12th. Through the years their family has grown to include three beautiful daughters. Experiences with children's teaching and ministering include substituted teaching, director of a children's ministry, and currently the director of a preschool since 2008. She is overjoyed to work with such precious children and alongside a family of believers who love the Lord with all their heart, soul mind, and strength.
Grace Community Church is blessed to have such dedicated and God-centered leadership to equip the next generation to delight in God's glory and minister to children and their families.
Sonja Mausser - Whale Class Teacher
"I am first a child of God, a wife to an amazing man, and a mom to 2 beautiful children. We moved from California 3 1/2 years ago and have been blessed by finding Grace Community Church. Prior to having children of my own, I taught preschool children on and off for 7 years. God has given me a love to teach and I feel blessed to be able to share God's word to the next generation. Last year was my first year at Grace Preschool as a full time teacher. Since the beginning my son has attended and I have been a substitute helping out from time to time. I am very excited to see what God will do in the coming years at Grace and I am honored to be a part."
Paula Satterfield - Owl Class Teacher
"I have been a mom for 14 years now with a total of four children (8 thru 14) and a preschool teacher for the past six years, all with Grace Preschool. I am in awe of what God has done with our preschool and the opportunities He has blessed us with in reaching out to our beautiful community. I love teaching the little ones as I am a visual thinker and they can not yet read so we do most everything in pictures - it is a perfect fit, for me at least. Seeing their little faces light up with a 'job well done' is my joy and to glorify Him is my purpose in ministering to the next generation."
Alison Yuille - Monkey Class Teacher
Alison Yuille grew up in Ontario, Canada. She completed her BA at Brock University and BEd at Trent University. She married Stephen in 1991. They have two daughters, Laura and Emma. Alison and Stephen were missionaries in Portugal from 1995-2000. Before moving to Glen Rose in 2009, Alison taught at Rhema Christian School in Ontario. This is her fifth year serving at Grace Preschool and she is looking forward to teaching young hearts the truths of our great God.
Karen Phillips - Frog Class Teacher
I am very blessed to work with the FROG Class this year! The Frogs are the youngest ones at Grace Preschool, such a precious little group! In this class we begin to explore the wonderful world God created. We also begin to work on our social skills and become familiar with some basic biblical and educational concepts. I feel my goal is to introduce little minds and hearts to God's great love.
I grew up in Irving, Texas. My husband, Jeff, and I moved to Glen Rose in January of 2012, and we became a part of Grace Community Church shortly afterward. Before that, we lived in Flower Mound for almost 20 years and I was a church secretary in an Irving church for over 18 years. Together, Jeff and I raised five sons, and we now have two beautiful daughters-in-law and two kindergarten age grandsons. I bring the "grandmother" factor to the Preschool!
Grace Preschool's students are beginning what we hope is a life-long adventure in learning...academic, of course, but more importantly, learning about the MOST important thing: That GOD is the Creator, Sustainer, and Ruler of the whole universe! And that the Word of God contains everything we need for life and godliness. We hope and pray that early in their lives they will come to the realization of the truth that we are all sinners, and must be saved by Grace alone through Faith alone in Christ alone. What a wonderful privilege it is to be a part of these young lives!
Laurynn Phillips- Frog Class Assistant
"I am very excited to be able to work at Grace Preschool this year. God has given me a love for children and a desire to work with and for them for His glory and their joy and benefit. I came to Texas a couple of years ago after having lived the majority of my life in Tanzania. This is my second year to work here and also my last as I will be going on to university in the fall of 2015. I am very thankful to be a part of the Lord’s plan for the Preschool this year."
